How to Remove Special Offers from Your Kindle

Important message for Kindle and Fire tablet users:
Amazon is now allowing users to remove Special Offers from their devices for a one-time fee. Special Offers are advertisements that appear on the lock screen and homescreen of Kindle and Fire devices. They help to subsidize the cost of the devices, but they can be annoying for some users.
To remove Special Offers, simply follow these steps:
- Go to the Amazon website and sign in to your account.
- Select Devices and then select your Kindle e-reader or Fire tablet
- Under Special Offers, click Remove offers.
- Find your Kindle Fire device and click the Action button left of your device name.
- Select Remove Special Offers and confirm your choice.
Once you have removed Special Offers, they will no longer appear on your device. You will still be able to access all of the same features and content, but you will no longer see any advertisements.
